Action Games

                     1. TOUCH

SUMMARY
Games don't get any easier than this. Students race to touch one flashcard from a row on the board..
SET–UP
Line up a set of flashcards on the board, or lay them on the floor at the front of the classroom. Divide the class into teams or play rounds one student against another. 
PLAY
Call two students up to play. Line them up against the wall opposite the flashcards. Make sure there is a clear running space for the students. Now, say the name of one of the flashcards and then shout "Go!" The two students race to touch the correct flashcard. The first student to do so is the winner.

A Trip to a Zoo

Last weekend, Lutfi’s school organized a trip to the national Zoo. They went to the zoo by bus. There were forty students and three teachers going on the trip.

They arrived at the zoo at 10 o’clock in the morning. The first thing they did was to purchase the tickets.

The pupils and teachers went round the zoo on a mini tram. They saw many wild and tame animals. The students also had a chance to feed the monkeys and giraffes.

The students left the zoo feeling tired but happy.

Notes for phonics


English Raven Phonics Builder 1 – Teacher’s Guide

 Summary

This Builder kit covers the consonants s, t, b in initial position, and the short vowel "a" in initial and medial positions.  Each lesson progresses through Phonemic Awareness, Writing Practice, Letter/Sound Identification and Application, and finishes with a Picture-Wordfind application activity designed to consolidate the sounds studied in that lesson and review/re-apply the letters studied in previous lessons.  Note that each lesson introduces new vocabulary that contrasts and differs from the words forming the focus of the lesson.  These words then appear in following lessons, creating a flow on effect where "new" vocabulary is likely to at least appear familiar to the students.

Lessons 1 through 3 deal with consonant sounds s, t and b in initial position.  Lesson 4 introduces the short vowel "a" as an initial sound, then combines with previously studied consonant sounds to focus on short "a" as a medial sound in simple monosyllabic words.  Lesson 5 is designed to review and consolidate the entire Builder 1 Kit, and includes an "open word-find" as a checking tool to see how much material the students have retained.

Teacher’s Notes

Aim: Distinguishing between different vowel and consonant sounds.
Materials: One set of cards from Worksheet 1 per child.
Duration: 15 minutes.
Language focus: The pronunciation of: tea, tree, three, sheep, ship, shop, chip, card, car, cat, bread, bed.
Aim of the game: To lay out cards on a grid of 3 x 4 in the correct order, following oral instructions.
Suggestion:
Play the game with the children a few times, calling out the words yourself, before asking
them to play in pairs.
Introduction:
Give out the set of cards from Worksheet 1 to each child or team of children. Call out
the words at random. Each child or team holds up the corresponding card.

Macro teaching

Alhamdullillah...I start my day with good mood. My plan for today going smoothly. Everything happened to me yesterday gave me a lot of experience. Thank you Allah. Yeah, women should know everything about car. Every time, I asked my husband to fix it for me. But yesterday, everything went wrong. My car stucked at the wrong time. It more worst because I was the driver. Oh no!!! Imagine that, I was really tired. I didn't have time to relax (with tutorial class, son admitted in hospital, school programmed)during two days off.But I have a great husband, father, cousins and friends who were offering themselves to help me. Thank you so much!! Really appreciate it. May Allah bless you all. Today, I start my day with the assignment.I was so excited to do my macro teaching.My Year 1 Gemilang pupils gave full cooperation during the lesson. Hope the children got the knowledge and I will express it in my reflection soon. HAHA.I will upload the pictures and video soon...Assalammualaikum..

This is my first try to make a blog. Many things need to catch. But I am still learning. This activity is very interesting and I think it will be my new hobby soon!!!HAHA!! Ye Ke???
